PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

2/20/16 Henry was rescued from a very high kill shelter in Louisiana. He is a little guy, weighing in at about 12lbs. We believe he is a Schnauzer/Dachshund mix and is probably 2 years old or less. Henry has heartworms and we need a sponsor to have him treated. His treatment will be about $200. Once he has been treated, he will be available for adoption. We are taking adoption applications on him now and hope to have a home selected for him by the time he has been treated for heartworms.

Henry loves people and other dogs. I have not had a chance to cat test him. He is a high energy little guy who LOVES to play ball. He is great with kids and needs someone that is active who will play with him! He does have the tendency to be destructive when left unsupervised and does not do well in a crate, although his foster mom is working on that with him. We think he has some mild to moderate separation anxiety and we are going to try him on a natural supplement to help with that. He is also working on house training. Henry has a few little issues but with the right family, he is sure  to be a wonderful companion! He is located in Arkansas but out of state transport is available. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
