**   BEAR is currently being fostered in Coplay, PA   **

BEAR is an 18 month old BEAUTIFUL male Flatcoat Retriever who is so full of love for people, children, other dogs, and even cats!!

BEAR is VERY high energy !!  He adores playing with the children in the neighborhood and he can even wear them out :)  He would be great in a home with extremely active adults, children (though not too small, because he does like to jump), or other dogs to play with.  He does not have a 'mean' bone in his body.

BEAR needs a high energy person who can keep up with him, not merely walk him, for up to three miles.

He gets along very well at doggie day care where the owner describes him as 'sweet' and 'not the leader of the pack'.

BEAR would excel at agility training if his new owners were so inclined. He loves to play with squeaky balls, bones, rawhide and any Kong toys.

BEAR is still young, therefore still an aggressive chewer, and will decimate stuffed toys or anything not labeled as "For aggressive chewers."

On the other hand, BEAR loves to snuggle, give and get kisses.

BEAR will walk for hours, and then STILL want to play when he gets home. He has the run of the house and can be trusted alone, uncrated, or in a crate.

BEAR loves riding in the truck.  He does bark, especially at other dogs because he wants to play with them.
BEAR understands basic commands - however when he is wound up, he tends to not follow them, so he needs someone with a firm hand and consistent training.

To BEAR, walks are for play or exercise - he has yet to poo on a walk even though it can be for one - two hours at a time. Rarely if ever even pees anywhere but our yard.

BEAR loves to play with cats too, but they normally won't pay him any mind, LOL.

His coat is thick and shiny - he has strong athletic capabilities and would excel at agility training.
