About Frosty - URGENT!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

1/11/15 Frosty is a white German Shepherd who is a special case. He is not sick or injured but he is extremely hyper. He has done ok with other dogs but is selective so he would not be a good candidate for a dog park setting or a home with multiple dogs. He is cat aggressive. He is not aggressive towards people, but is very high energy and requires a large fences area to burn off energy several times a day. He needs a family that is very active and is willing to take him along on adventures, and also needs an owner who is willing and able to commit to training him properly. Frosty would not do well in a home with young children, as he would likely plow right over them in his exuberance. He really needs a special home and family who will take the time and put forth the effort to make him the dog that he was made to be. Frosty is in a shelter and sadly, his time is running out. He has been given one more week to find a home, or will be euthanized. But with that said, we will not allow him to go to a home that is not a good fit. We do not want to set him up for failure or put him in a situation where he will be bounced around and ultimately end up coming back to us or going to another shelter. I am listing him as a favor to the shelter, as a last ditch effort to find the right home for him. Frosty is in Arkansas. He will not be transported to the northeast until we have an approved and confirmed adopter for him. If you are interested in Frosty, please email Kelley.aasr@gmail.com for more info. Thank you.
