8/28/14 Ginger came into rescue after she was dumped at a kill shelter, very pregnant. Because she was pregnant, the shelter was in a hurry for her to leave, so much so that they were going to euthanize her if she stayed another night- that shelter has had a lot of sickness and they didn't want puppies born there where they knew they would get sick and die anyway. So our rescue pulled Ginger and about 5 hours later she gave birth to 10 puppies. Yikes! Ginger is only 35lbs and she is a total love. She is energetic and would do well in a home with an active family. She is great with kids (her foster home has a 2 year old and she is great with him) and she is great with other dogs and ignores cats. Ginger has never shown any aggression to anyone. She loves all people and is very friendly with everyone. She does need to learn some manners. Her foster has been unsuccessful with house training Ginger, but I believe when she is in her own home with a more consistent routine, she will learn. She crate trained within a day and never has accidents in her crate. She is also quiet when crated and is perfectly content to be crated when she's not with her people. Ginger would make an excellent addition to any family. Ginger is located here in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted.
