German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Male : : Baby : : Large
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
4/23/14 Nathan was dumped along with his mom, Nadia, who is a pure German Shepherd Dog. Both were starved and in horrible shape but after only a few days they began to improve dramatically and now, 3 weeks later, they are doing great! Nathan was very scared when he first came here, but came right out of his shell in a day or less, with a little TLC and some yummy food. He would benefit from training, like all pups his age. He is very eager to please and super intelligent, picking up on new concepts very quickly. Nadia is very bonded to Nathan, but I believe they will both do fine once they've had some time apart, they will just need families who can understand they will need an adjustment period. I think they are all eachother had when they were dumped, and they took care of eachother during that time. Nathan seems to be gaining some independence from Nadia, but he has other puppies his age here to play with. Nadia will be the one who will have a more difficult time with being away from him. But she will adjust and has already made strides in the right direction. Nathan is about 5 months old now. Nadia and Nathan are both located here in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted.
