PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

1/3/13 These beautiful little babies were born to a stray mama dog. The people who owned the property said mama (Brinkley - she will be listed soon) was a stray that they had been feeding and calling their own. But they didn't care enough for her to have her spayed or any other vetting. The property owners decided when she had this litter of puppies (this is her 2nd litter) that they would not make any effort to ensure of the puppies or the mom and when an ice storm was on the radar for our area, they saw that as a means of "getting rid of" the puppies and chose to leave them out in the cold to freeze. Thankfully, a very kind hearted volunteer opened her home to these puppies and their mom, and even drove the 1+hour each way to get them just before the ice hit the area. Talk about timing! One more day and these little ones would not have had a chance. The babies are now about 3 1/2 weeks old, as of 1/3/13. They are healthy and beautiful. Their mom, Brinkley, looks to be a Husky mix, and the property owner tells us the puppies are mixed w/ Boxer. However, dogs can have several different sires to one litter of puppies. As you will notice, some of the puppies have more of the Husky traits, some appear to have more Boxer, some look rather hound-ish, and one of them even looks like a rottweiler. So it's really anyone guess as to their heritage, but whatever they are, they are gorgeous! These babies are being pampered and spoiled now so we are looking for loving homes with families that will keep up their foster mom's good work, and continue spoiling these babies after they are adopted. They will be ready for their new homes in early February. **These babies are located in ARkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
