PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

8/9/12 Josie was found as a stray, along with her companion Jax, and her 3 beautiful puppies. Thankfully, the good samaritan that found the little family took them all in and kept them safe. Now they are safely in a foster home in ARkansas and will be ready for their new homes soon! Even though Josie and Jax love eachother, we think they will be just fine if seperated. It would be great to place them in a home together, but not absolutely necessary. They are both very loving, sweet lap babies. Josie is doing very well in her foster home. She has done just fine with the other dogs in the home, both large and small. She is not intimidated by the larger dogs at all, but neither does she try to bully anyone. She is a very well behaved little girl. She is working on house training and doing well with that. She has not had any accidents since the 1st day in her foster home. Josie weighs about 10lbs. She is still nursing her babies but once they are finished nursing and her milk dries up, Josie will be fully vetted and ready for her new home. We expect her to be ready around the end of August or 1st part of September. Josie would do well in a home with or without other dogs, and she seems to do fine with children, although I think very young children snatching at her may make her a bit nervous. She has never snapped at anyone since she has been in our care, and she has been around many children of various ages, so I think it would just depend on the child's behaviour with dogs. Josie has a lot of love to offer a new family and I am eager to see this precious girl placed in a loving home! Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
