Pit Bull Terrier : : Male : : Young : : Large
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Titus is a Pit Bull Terrier that was pulled from the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter. Titus loves people. He is very friendly and outgoing and just wants to be loved. He is currently in a kennel and he is very depressed here. He wants so badly to be with a family - he just lights up when someone goes out there and talks to him or gives him some attention. Titus needs to be the only dog, or in a home with a submissive female dog. No other male dogs - he is too dominant. He wants to be the boss of all other dogs! I am not sure what his story is, how he ended up at the shelter, but he doesn't appear to be a fighting dog and does not act like one either. He appears to have been someone's pet, as he acts as though he wants to come inside, like that is what he is used to. Titus appears to be about 1-2 years old and weighs about 60lbs. **UPdate! Titus was placed in a foster home in NH in Feb. He has done very well in his foster home and is now housetrianed. He loves affection and has really thrived under the care of his foster dad. Sadly, due to divorce, his foster dad is selling his home and will no longer be able to keep Titus. Once his house sells (someone is making an offer on it this week 3/21) Titus will effectively be homeless and will be euthanized if another foster has not come forward. Please help if you can foster Titus. He is our most urgent case.
