PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
11/1/11These babies were found on a country road, trying their best to survive but failing miserably. They had obviously been dumped. When I came upon them, they were severely dehydrated and emaciated, but when I stopped my car, they ran to me, tails wagging, so happy to be rescued! Poor little babies wouldn't have made it more than another few days. Makes me so sad to think they were thrown away like garbage, when they have so much love to give. They are about 14weeks old now. There were 5 babies all together - 2 blue merle and 3 black. The blue merle babies (Marla and Marvin), and Mikey were in the best shape. They are larger and seem stronger. Mikey is very sweet in nature - he likes attention and is fairly calm for a puppy his age. He will be a great companion for anyone. He is no trouble at all. All the puppies are doing great now - enjoying all the food they want and being treated with the kindness they deserve. If you have room in your home and heart for one of these sweet babies, please email kelley.aasr@gmail.com. These puppies are currently located in Arkansas but will be transported to the northeast once adopted. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
