PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

My name is Kady. I'm a one-year-old lab/pit bull mix and I weigh about 53 lb.  I don’t know why my last human threw me away.  I suddenly just found myself alone.  Some nice folks took me in, and I’m now spayed, healthy, fully-vaccinated and current on heartworm preventive.  I’m sweet, pretty and totally devoted to my humans.  I’m not aggressive toward people, and I’m a little afraid of other dogs.  I’m nervous about going inside and am quite content to stay outside in the back yard without a fence.  I don’t run away.  I walk two miles off-leash with my person every day, so I’m in good shape.  I know how to walk on a leash, but you don’t need one to keep me close. My human is my protection and the center of my world.  I am smart and very obedient.  I know how to sit, come and stay.  You don’t need to yell at me.  Just let me know what you want me to do, and I’ll do it.
When you first meet me I give the impression that I am timid and shy, but after you pet me, I always roll over on my back.  If you rub my tummy, I'm your friend for life. I am very energetic and extremely affectionate. I prefer older kids to romp, play and fetch a ball with. I love to ride on a 4-wheeler or to run along beside it. I’d be a great companion for someone who loves the outdoor life. Please give me a chance for a new life. **Kady is currently located in the south, but will be transported once adopted. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
