PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

6/26/24 This is Sam aka Samantha! She is a joyful girl with a happy disposition. She has a precious little underbite. She loves to play with her toys and fellow fosters, but once she has played for a bit, she is a total couch potato. She is doing well with her leash training. She has finally learned that each meal is not her last one. She is a mix breed dog, probably some type of hound mix. She gets along well with other dogs and kids. She has not been around cats. She is about 4 months old and weighs about 15, so her adult size will be roughly 30-35lbs. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
History: She was dumped on the side of a rural road with her litter mates at just about 5 weeks old. They were out there alone for more than a month. She and two of her siblings had evaded all attempts at being captured while others in the litter disappeared . They were scared , hungry and covered in fleas and ticks! They sheltered in the secere storms in our area, under an old set of steps which barely covered them. They really fought to survive out there on their own, and they are so grateful now to be safe, loved, and well fed!

Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.

Southington, CT 8am Fridays
East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
