PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

5/17/24 One up. One down. And a scarf wrapped around. Yep. That’s our snazzy Peanut, the chocolate girl with the marshmallow-colored chest blaze. And yes, she could be compared to marshmallow fudge. She’s just as sweet and rich but without the calories. Peanut is listed as a shepherd mix. That could be true, but chances are she’s a medley of breeds. Peanut is 7-months-old and weighs 30 pounds. Adult weight…50 pounds, give or take. She’s a pretty, friendly baby with a good head on her shoulders. She’s a thinking dog and can stay at least two steps ahead of you if she wants to. Peanut just needs a chance to show you how much you need her. Peanut is good with other dogs, not cat tested. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. 
Peanut is currently in our Paws In Prison program. This program pairs a dog with an inmate trainer. The dog stays at the prison for 8 weeks while they are trained. While there, they learn all the basic commands, leash and crate training, many tricks, etc. By the time they graduate at the end of the 8 weeks, they will pass their Canine Good Citizen test. The goal is for each dog to have a home ready for them by the time they graduate.
Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays
Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays
Southington, CT 8am Fridays
East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
