About Smiley

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
1/11/24 Smiley is one of our newest intakes! He started at Paws in Prison yesterday and will graduate from the program in about 8 weeks.
Smiley and his friend, Wiggles, were found by some kind folks deep in the woods while camping. Smiley and Wiggles were emaciated, hungry, thirsty, covered in ticks, and desperately seeking help and love! Luckily they were saved.
Both are males and very social boys, eager to please their human and easy to train with their love for training treats, too. Commands they have mastered include SIT, WAIT, OFF, ON ALL FOURS and working on more. They are about 10 months to a year old and weigh 30 to 32 pounds.
About Mr. Smiley -- Smiley has a beautiful medium to long glossy black coat, with white puffs of hair on his underside. He is probably an Australian Shepherd mix, making him quite agreeable to obedience training. Can you spell S-M-A-R-T? The name “Smiley” comes from the cute little quirk of showing teeth when he greets you. This sweet smile is a sign of contentment and is a way of communicating with his human friends to convey how happy he truly is. Like his “brother” Wiggles, Smiley is affectionate, a cuddle bug, very good with other dogs, good with kids, and enjoys a playful romp from time to time. He also enjoys belly rubs and is also very treat driven. Smiley is crate trained, house trained, leash trained.
UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and started on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
