About Lea

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

12/18/22 Meet Lea. Lea is a truly sweet young lady aged between 1 year to 18 months old who was found starving on the side of the road. She had no experience living in a home but she has learned a lot since her rescue. Lea is a highly intelligent, sweet and loving pup who is full of energy and is always wanting to play. She wants to play with everyone from humans, other pups, and cats even though the cats may not want to play with her.

Lea’s is high energy and requires a lot of physical activity in order to keep her happy. If you have an active lifestyle and can take her for hikes, runs, and long walks, then she will make a good fit. Lea would not do well in an environment where she was kenneled for long periods or did not get sufficient daily exercise.
Lea does not exhibit signs of aggression when playing, but is very rambunctious. When excited, she sometimes nips at other pets and humans. Lea attempts to attract attention and affection putting her paws on and mouthing at her humans. She is receptive to training and has learned to “sit” and working on “stay.” She needs to be with someone who can continue to work with her and provide consistent training.
The ideal home for Lea would be a single dog home with an experienced and active owner who can continue to work with her in her training. Lea does not need to be in a home with small children because of her rough play.
Lea’s favorite things are head scratches, chew toys, and a great big Kong toy filled with peanut butter, which will keep her entertained for hours.
