PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Buddy and Boosy (like Lucy with a “B”) have arrived at their foster home in New England. They are a bonded pair with a sad story. Their mama has advanced dementia and family could not care for them. They came to us severely matted but thanks to our friend Jody Merrit, they look and feel like a million bucks now! These little boys were obviously very well cared for and loved by their Mama before she got sick. They are both housetrained and very clean. They are extremely loving, happy little guys. They are both 8years old so even though they are technically considered seniors, that isn't really old for a small breed and they are in good health aside and we have had their teeth cleaned. Boosy is the smallest of the 2 and weighs 10lbs. Buddy is the one with the underbite and he's probably about 15lbs. Although they are outgoing and would probably adjust to a separate homes, I would like to try to place them together first. They've already lost so much and I hate for them to lose eachother too. They miss their mama desperately. They are no trouble at all, they are very low maintenance other than the obvious grooming needs. When they came into rescue, they were very scared but by the next morning they had settled in and were completely different, dancing and wagging their tails and giving all the kisses! They will make such wonderful companions. If you're looking for easy, already housetrained, out of the chewing stage, this may be the pair for you! To apply: Please be sure everyone in the home is ready to adopt before you apply.
