PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. Meet Lucy. She is an absolutely adorable frosty faced, pigeon toed, senior Plott Hound mix who was brought into our vet to be euthanized. Why would her owners want to euthanize this lovely lady? Because a few weeks ago she had a lump removed from her tail and she wouldn't leave the incision alone and kept chewing at it, and now it's all bloody and leaving blood stains on their porch. So they don't want to deal with her any more. We are unsure of her exact age, but we are guessing 8-10years. She would be amazing for a retired person because she just wants to lie at someone's feet and adore them. She is very friendly and incredibly loving. She may end up having to have her tail amputated but right now we are trying to get it to heal. Lucy is not aggressive to other dogs but doesn't want to be bothered by them either. She does get a little grumpy when other dogs are in her face, but as long as they don't pester her, she's fine with ignoring them. Is there anyone out there who would open their home to this beautiful mature lady? She could be adopted or fostered. I'm so thankful to have a vet who is compassionate and didnt euthanize Lucy like most would have. Lucy is hanging out at the vet clinic now but that is a very short term solution because they are closed on weekends so there will be no one there to walk and feed her.
