Meet Glenda!
Glenda is a special case. Some of you may remember her. She's the one that was in a shelter in TX and had been hit by car, they were going to euthanize her bc the shelter didn't have the funds to treat her. The shelter vet said she needed a major surgery bc her hips were broken. No other rescue would touch it. Something about her spoke to my heart and I had to try to save her. So I paid a ton of money to have someone drive her half way and my boyfriend Albert met them and brought her here. Once here, I had her to my vet who is amazing. They did xrays and felt that crate rest would be the best treatment, and he felt the bones would heal. He planned to do a femoral head ostectomy a month later, once she had time to heal. So a month later, I took her for the fho and they xrayed her again because she was doing so well. After seeing that xray, Doc said she didn't need any surgery. Let me tell you. This dog is amazing. She doesn't even have a limp. She runs, she jumps. In fact, she is so agile that i had to move her to a different foster home because I had her set up to go out into my small dog yard which only has like a 30 inch tall gate and she could jump over it. She is a total love. She adores every person and every dog she meets! We think she is a young adult, maybe 2 years old. Glenda is heartworm negative, spayed,, and up to date on vaccinations. She weighs about 35lbs. For info on adopting Glenda, please visit our website, www.adoptastrayrescue.org under adoption information and download the application.
