PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

Meet Dante! Here’s what his awesome foster parents have to say about him-
“He is a 45 pound 11 month old Shepherd mix. He was adopted as a puppy by a family with two toddlers. As time passed, it became clear they didn’t have enough time for him, and they returned him to the rescue.

When he first came to us, he didn’t quite know what to do with himself. He seemed pretty confused about where his family went. But dogs are resilient, and he adjusted quickly. A few days of exercise from going to the dog park and playing with our dogs have definitely made him calmer, more confident, and more patient. He is very bright, attentive, and has already learned to take cues quickly. He knows “sit” and “down,” and he’s working on “stay” and “shake.” And yes, he’s very cute. Check out those golden eyes!

Dante will be his best self as long as he has enough physical activity and mental stimulation. He’s great with other dogs, and we think he’d be especially happy to find a home with another playful dog who wants a buddy to wrestle and chase. He’s surprisingly well behaved on a leash, and is very friendly when greeting new people. He will be very happy with a family that likes long walks or runs, or will take him to the dog park or doggy day care.

Dante is already potty trained, house trained, and crate trained (though of course accidents are normal in a new environment).”

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
