About Nukki

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

Nukki is a former stray, estimated 4-5 year old. Our best guess for a breed is a Boston Terrier mix. He’s 25lbs, neutered, and up to date on shots.

Nukki is a natural comedian. He’s a playful, attentive, loving, and extremely funny little weirdo. After a lifetime of having no food and or toys, he’s so excited to suddenly have plenty of both. He stands on his back legs like a circus performer when you pour his kibble out, and he spends all day choosing which toy to carry around. (It’s a hard decision, he changes his mind a lot!) If you’re typing at your computer, he pokes his head under your arm to see what’s so interesting. When he’s really excited, he stuffs two toys in his mouth, wiggles his body back and forth, and makes little chimpanzee noises. This is definitely a dog that’ll keep you laughing.

Nukki loves people and other dogs. He’s a star at the dog park, and would make a great playmate for other another playful pup. He’s fairly energetic, but he’s taken to crate training very well. He’s shown some resource guarding tendencies when given very high-value treats (like rawhides), which is pretty understandable given how unstable his life must’ve been before he was rescued. He’s used to looking out for himself, poor guy. He needs an owner who’s willing to continue the training he’s started in his foster home. Because he’s still learning his manners, a house without cats or small children would be best.

Accidents are normal for all new dogs, but Nukki has had a great record re: potty training and house training. He’s very bright, and highly motivated by both food and praise. If it makes you happy, he’ll try his best to do it! Please share him so we can find his forever family soon.
