PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Rocky is in a foster home in MA. This is what his foster mom has to say about him: Rocky is one of a kind. When he came into the rescue, he was in terrible shape: alone, skeletal, covered in ticks, totally terrified. But the moment he arrived in a home-like environment, he surprised everyone by relaxing into a wonderfully behaved, happy, loving boy. Rocky is clearly making up for lost time when it comes to attention. He LOVES to give and receive it. He lays his head in your lap, and if you stroke his soft fur, he closes his eyes in total bliss. He’s also a clown. He doesn’t bark, but he’s very talkative about his emotions. If you’re eating something good and you don’t offer him a bite, he will sigh, flop dramatically on the floor, and groan. Give him a pile of pillows to sleep on, and he will spend ten minutes rearranging them. Give him plain kibble, and he will stare at in disgust until you sprinkle a little cheese on top. (Okay, a LOT of cheese.) He’s hilarious. Rocky gets along with absolutely everyone: men, women, children, little puppies, senior dogs. He loves visiting the dog park, and would make a GREAT playmate for other pups. He’s obsessed with our cat, and hasn’t given up hope that someday she will play with him. Rocky has excellent house manners. Accidents happen, but he’s been great. He’s a young dog with energy, and will benefit from physical activities like long walks, jogs, wrestling with other dogs, or visiting the dog park. But he’s a great snuggler after. Rocky will make a loyal, attentive family dog. In his ideal home, he’d have someone sad to cheer up, or some kids to follow around. He’d have a yard to play in, or a human who liked running, or a fellow dog to wrassle with. He spent enough time alone for one lifetime. Gentle, silly, and highly devoted. Rocky is up to date on shots, neutered, and heart worm negative.
