Australian Shepherd / Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed : : Male : : Young : : Medium
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
PLEASE NOTE! These puppies are located in Arkansas. They can be transported to the northeast once they have adopters ready for them. We use www.alphadogtransport.com and www.heartsllc.com for transporting our pups to their families. We list our pups in all of the areas that we offer transport to or near. So even though it may say "This dog is in CT or VT etc" he/she is actually in Arkansas. This is the only way we have of making these pups visible to adopters in other states. We are only trying to give them every opportunity to find good homes. Thank you for understanding! 11/8/19 Adonis and his sister Adrian were found as strays, at a river in Arkansas. No owner ever came forward to claim them. They have been in our rescue since the summer 2019. They are both WONDERFUL dogs. They are both crate trained, house trained (except Adrian is a bit of a submissive pee-er, which will probably resolve on it's own once she is in her own home where she can build confidence), they get along fantastic with other dogs. We have not had them around cats but neither of them have ever shown any aggressive tendencies whatsoever. They are very affectionate, well behaved, smart, easty to train dogs. Their only issue is that they are chewers and will tear things up if left unattended, so I would strongly recommend crate training when left alone. That is what I do here and they both do great in their crates. They are still young and will probably outgrow this with some time and training. Adonis and Adrian do not have to stay together. They do great together but also do well apart, with other dogs to play with. They both seem pretty dependent on other dogs, but if they were in a home where they could get more human attention that would probably be fine as well. In our setting, with so many dogs, it is hard to give anyone much one on one attention. We believe these babies are about 8 months old now. They are both around 40-50 lbs, with Adonis being the larger of the 2. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com More about AdonisGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350.
