PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
PLEASE NOTE! This dog is located in Arkansas. He/She is listed for adoption in all the states that we offer transport to or near. We do this to increase their chances of finding a forever home. Once adopted, our dogs are transported to their families using either www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com. 10/10/19 Sally is a sweet little Beagle who was abandoned by her family when they moved and left her behind. Sadly, she was pregnant at the time and we didn't find out about her until she had her babies so she had them all alone and hungry. Despite the terrible circumstances, she was such a good little mama and took excellent care of her babies. She was skin and bones but her babies were fat and healthy. Sally is very sweet natured but I feel like she has never really had anyone who showed her love. She wants to be loved but doesn't quite know what to do when she gets it. She is learning. Her previous owners obviously didn't care for her at all if they could leave her behind like they did. She had heartworms when we rescued her, but we have had her treated and she is doing very well now. She has been spayed and is healthy and happy. She does have the Beagle nose which could get her into trouble without a fenced yard, so a fence is a must for her new family. Sally would do fine in a family with older children, or even little ones that have been taught to be respectful. She has been in a foster home with a 2 year old little girl and she did well with her, but the noise and commotion of a toddler seemed to make Sally a little nervous. So she would probably do better with older kids or a home that doesn't include kids. Sally does fine with other dogs and she is respectful with cats. She is in a foster home that includes both and has no problems getting along with either. Sally is working on house training and doing well. Her foster home is high volume, so training is a challenge. But once she is in a home where she can have more individual attention focused on her training, she will learn quickly. She is very eager to please and she is smart. Sally is estimated to be about 3 years old. She weighs about 30lbs. She is ready for a home of her own where she can learn what it's like to be loved by a family who would never leave her behind again. She wants to be part of a family, not a yard ornament to be thrown away when it's no longer wanted.
