PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. Sweet Astra. Her little mama was left behind when her owners moved away. She was very pregnant when she was abandoned. A neighbor was taking food to her and alerted us about her. She had her babies all alone. We took mama and babies into rescue. As they grew, we realized that Astra is deaf. This doesn't slow her down or really affect her. But it means she needs a home with a family committed to protecting her from things that she can't hear (cars, aggressive dogs, etc). Astra has been in rescue almost since birth but we are listing her late. When she was about 9wks old, she got her leg caught between the bars in a crate when no one was home, and she broke her leg trying to free it. It was not a severe break, just a fracture. We had the leg treated with a splint for about 3 weeks and then the vet felt that it was healed completely. She doesn't have a limp or anything at this point. She is doing great and growing up to be such a beautiful girl! She is very active and would love a family with kids to play with. She is very affectionate, she loves loves loves to cuddle and kiss. She just needs a family who will welcome the affection she has to offer. Astra is about 4 months old now and will be spayed on Aug. 20. Once that is done, she will be ready to go to her new home. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
