Transport is provided by www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com once there is an adopter ready to accept the dog. Meeting the dog prior to adopting is simply not possible, unless you want to come to Arkansas (we would be thrilled to have you, if you want to do some traveling!)Please check the websites referenced to see if one of our transporters offers a stop close to you. We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. Please understand, we are listing our available dogs anywhere we can, to offer them the best chance of finding the right family and having a happy life filled with love.*** 7/3/19 Ace comes into rescue as an owner surrender, due to divorce. This is what his owner has to say about him: Ace is a beautiful and sweet Siberian husky who has been socialized and loves people. He's 4 years old (birthday is November 8). He is house trained. There's most always someone at home, so he is always with his family. He gets bored and rings a bell that hangs on the back door to go outside (frequently). He loves walks. He grew up with 2 cats, but I don't know that I'd say he necessarily gets along with them. One chases him and he chases the other one. He doesn't really care about his dog food and has no food aggression, however he absolutely loves to eat people food and we sparingly give him some. I've seen him growl at the kids before when they acted like they were going to get a piece of corn on the cob away from him that he snuck out of the trash. He has been around 5 kids (now ages 19, 17, 13, and 11 yr old twins). The 17 year old has played rough with him his whole life and so he tried to do that with the younger kids. Sometimes, he hurt them, but not intentionally with the exception of once when the teenager grabbed a toy away. He has worked with a trainer and did beautifully, although he still gets excited around some people and jumps up on them (my mother). He's very smart and loving, just a little rough with smaller kids. He loves belly rubs and knows what it means to "gimme kisses." He licks my chin. He can sit and speak and shake and high five. He also knows "drop" if he has someone's shoe or whatever. He loves this game when he's bored. Plus, we would give him a little treat every now and then when he dropped. He sleeps on our bed while we watch TV and wind down, but sleeps under the bed when we turn out the lights. He doesn't really like to be kicked off the bed and grumbles. If he's outside sniffing around and I'm ready to go to bed, I whistle once and he comes running, hoping for a treat. Sometimes I give him one and sometimes I don't. I've crate trained every dog I've ever had, but I tried for 3 months to crate train Ace and he was really really scared of being in there. I gave up after 3 months and allowed him to sleep close to us (under the bed). He was much happier and so were we. He's been a wonderful part of our family. He needs lots of attention and someone that will take him for DAILY walks and keep him entertained. I'm going through a separation and that is the only reason I'm doing this. My husband never wanted a dog and he's a dog with a lot of personality, plus he sheds a lot. I never minded. I pray that whoever decides to adopt him will treasure the beautiful animal that he is and love him with all their heart.
