English Bulldog : : Female : : Adult : : Medium
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
***This dog is currently located in Arkansas. He/She is listed in all the states we offer transport to or near. Transport is provided by www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com once there is an adopter ready to accept the dog. Meeting the dog prior to adopting is simply not possible, unless you want to come to Arkansas (we would be thrilled to have you, if you want to do some traveling!)Please check the websites referenced to see if one of our transporters offers a stop close to you. We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. Please understand, we are listing our available dogs anywhere we can, to offer them the best chance of finding the right family and having a happy life filled with love.*** 7/3/19 Emmy Lou comes into rescue as an owner surrender. Her owners have decided they don't want to deal with dog hair in the house any longer. Emmy Lou is a full blooded English Bulldog. She is 3-4 years old, spayed, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Emmy Lou is currently in a home with children ranging from toddler to teen and she loves them all. She is great with dogs and cats and has no known behavior issues. She is a sweet natured dog who needs a home with a family who will be committed to her for the rest of her life. She will return your commitment with unending love, affection, and companionship. ***Please Note! Our adoption fee for English Bulldogs is more than our typical adoption fee. There are several reasons for this, including the higher cost of vet care for this breed. Any part of the fee that is over what we have had to invest to get her to the point of being adoptable, is used to help us pay for the vet care of other dogs in our program. The adoption fee for Emmy Lou is $700.** For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com More about Emmy LouGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
