PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

3/27/19 Ophelia and Firefly are retired breeders. They are both about 5 years old and very sweet little girls. The breeder they came from is a reputable breeder and does not "over breed" them, she only allows them to have a couple of litters then she retires them. We at Adopt A Stray Rescue DO NOT condone breeding and do not support the breeding industry, but we realize that there are some breeders that are genuinely in it for the integrity of the breed, and not so much about the money. We feel that the mama dogs who were used for breeding should have good lives after their retirement and we are doing what we can to make that happen for these girls. Their adoption fees are $400 and the transport fee is $140. They are spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. These girls are not completely house trained, they do still have occasional accidents and will need a family who will be patient with them as they learn. They do not have to be adopted together and would be fine if separated. Ophelia weighs about 20lbs, and Firefly weighs about 15lbs. They are both a little bit shy but very sweet and loving. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
