PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

UPDATE! Lucy is now in a foster home in CT. She is doing so well there, with the children and the other pets, including dogs, cats, and a guinea pig! This is from Lucy's foster mom:

Lucy is a 5 month old Catahoula hound mix (best guess). She has a smaller frame, I’d assume she will be smaller than a lab full grown. I am her foster mom here in CT, she is originally from Adopt a Stray Rescue in Arkansas. Lucy is spayed and UTD on vaccinations. She gets along with my 3 dogs ranging in size, she has barked at dogs in passing when out for a walk, but I think it’s more just because she’s on a leash because any other interactions with dogs have been fine. I also have 4 cats and 2 guinea pigs that she’s fine with. She will chase the cat if the cat runs but when the cat doesn’t run she can be nose to nose with no issue. She’s an excellent car rider, loves going for walks, snuggles on the couch with me, sleeps in bed with me or my 5yr old son’s bed. She’s doing excellent with house training. Expect accidents as she adjusts, but she’s barely had any while adjusting here. Lucy has a $300 adoption fee along with a $140 transport fee (which reimburses me the cost I paid to get her here). I’m located in Stafford, CT and willing to travel within reason to adopt.

2/25/19 These babies were an accidental litter and surrendered to rescue. They are about 3 months old and they are just beautiful. They are friendly, sweet babies who will make great additions to any family! For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
