PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

11/24/15  Molly is a darling little girl who is going to make a family very happy! Molly came into rescue as an owner surrender. Her owners had purchased her as a young puppy, for the purpose of showing her. However, as Molly matured, it became evident that she had an elongated soft pallet, which is a very common health condition for her breed. She also had trouble with her eyelids turning inward on the upper and lower lids of both eyes. Molly needed surgery on both eyes and needed surgery on her soft pallet. By the time she reached a year old, the elongated soft pallet had already caused her to aspirate and develop pneumonia once, so surgery was a must for her to be healthy. Molly's owners did not want to deal with her necessary surgeries because these conditions disqualified her from the show ring. Once they realized that she could not be shown in the show ring, they no longer wanted her. She was not a pet in their eyes, despite her loving nature and her desire for human companionship. Molly's owners had paid $4300 to buy her from the breeder, and then they threw her away when she wasn't qualified for the show ring. Molly has had all the necessary surgeries now, and feels like a new dog! She is one year old, as of May 2015, and she is ready for a home of her own! Anyone who gets her will be so lucky to have this sweet baby! Molly's adoption fee is $1000 and the transport fee is $140. Her fee is high because of the surgeries we had to pay for. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
