PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
9/9/14 Maximus was a rescue from a kill shelter. He was brought in as a stray and never claimed. He is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen. We believe he is a husky/Great Pyrenees mix. He is very tall and slender, built like a husky but taller like a Great Pyr. He is stunning. He weighs about 75lbs. We believe Maximus is about 1 year old so he will probably fill out some more. He is vocal when crated but settles down quickly. He's very smart and learned to crate up within a couple of days and has not had any accidents in his crate. Maximus gets along well with other dogs, male and female, and he loves to play! He will run, run, run in the fenced yard and play with his dog friends for hours. Maximus likes all people and is pretty gentle for a young, large male. He's an affectionate guy and loves to get and give attention. He would probably benefit from some formal training, as he is not really aware of his large size. But he is young and will settle down some with time. Maximus has the potential to be a wonderful family pet. He is located in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. (he does not belong in the south - way too hot for him with all his hair!)
