8/29/14 Molly is an absolutely wonderful, big, beautiful girl. Molly came into rescue as a stray that had wandered into someone's yard and had puppies. She had apparently been on her own for quite a while and she was in poor condition, with 10 babies to feed and take care of. Poor girl. We took Molly and her babies in and of course her babies were adopted quickly. But Molly had heartworms so we had to get her treated. She has been thru the treatment and did very well with it, so she is now ready for a home and family of her own. Molly is housetrained and she is very good with other dogs. She is a very submissive personality and is easily intimidated by other dogs so she should not be placed in a home with a dominant dog, as she would be afraid. Once she knows she is safe with the other dog, she will play with them. She loves to play chase in the yard here with her friend Dallas, who is about 35lbs. Molly would not do well in a home with any type of birds. She has chased and tried to kill chickens. I have not had the opportunity to test her with cats but I think she would view them the same way as birds. Molly had a part in our church's VBS program this summer and she was in her element there with kids surrounding her and petting her. She LOVED it and couldn't wait to go every day! So a home with kids would be great, but a home without kids would be ok too. She loves anyone who is kind to her. She is just about the most affectionate dog I've ever seen. She wants to be right with her person at all times. She also loves puppies and is very patient and maternal, which is probably why she does so well with kids. Molly is approx. 3 years old and weighs 75lbs. We believe she is a Great Pyrenees mix, but that is a guess based on her appearance. She is fully vetted. Molly is located here in Arkansas currently and will be transported to the northeast once she is adopted. We will be picky about where Molly goes - she is probably the best foster dog I've ever had and I want to make sure her new family will appreciate her fully.
