About Beemie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
  • Housetrained: No
  • Reaction to New People: Friendly

~~This sweet little girl with no tail is Beemie. She was born without a tail. She was born to a stray Black lab  that looks to be purebred, but the breed(s) of the father(s) is unknown. Beemie is almost all black except the little white spot on her chest.
Beemie is probably the most quiet of the four puppies remaining in this litter. She may also be one of the smartest. Her foster is teaching them to sit and wait for attention upon her entry to the enclosure. It didn't take Beemie long to realize that if she sits and waits she will be showered with love while her littermates are vying for “Mom's attention.”
As of 2-3-2014, she is approximately 12 weeks old and about 11 lbs. She is up to date on age appropriate vet care including spay, shots, wormings etc.  She is one of three puppies left from a  litter of 9 pups.
She is currently in a foster home with 3 of her sisters in Central Vermont, where she is being housebroken to puppy pads and is learning to sit and not to jump up on people. Her sister (Kimmie, now Nattie) was adopted upon shortly after arrival in VT. She lives in a house near her sisters and is nearly housebroken, gives her paw and sits on command.
These are extremely smart puppies who are learning very quickly – even in a group. Though they are not purebred, they have the personality characteristics of a purebred black lab. They are sweet-natured, outgoing, eager to please and friendly with everyone including the foster's cat who hates all other animals. For more information, please email kelley.aasr@gmail.com
