PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
8/19/13 Valerie and her sister Fern were found on a rural Arkansas street, starving and terrified. These girls nearly got hit be a car twice in the time it took me to get to them and get them in my car. People just would not slow down. After I took them in, I found out that they were dumped, along w/ 2 other dogs who we think are another sister and their mother. Someone else got the sister and no one has been able to get the mama to come to them, to rescue her. So we have been leaving food and water for her, hoping to gain her trust. Fern and Valerie are both wonderful little girls. Valerie is very outgoing, once she warms up. It doesn't take her long. She is eager to get and give love. She just absolutely adores anyone who is kind to her - it only took me a few minutes to win her over completely. She is gentle and sweet in spirit. Valerie would be great in a home with or without children, and she does very well with other dogs. Valerie is about 10 months, and is full grown at about 25 lbs. She appears to be Dachshund mix, but that is purely a guess. She is built like a dachshund, with short little legs. She is so cute with her stocky little build, and her beautiful chocolate coat. Valerie is spayed, up to date with all routine vet care, heartworm negative, and crate trained. Anyone will be very lucky to get a dog as sweet as Valerie! She is located in a foster home in MA.
