About GINGER

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Brindle with White
  • Color: Brindle
  • Location: 02108
  • Housetrained: Yes

Ginger was abandoned, along with her 4 puppies, by her former human. The puppies found homes; Ginger did not.  She is now spayed, fully-vaccinated, heartworm negative and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventives.  We estimate her date of birth to be January 15, 2010.  She weighs about 36 lb. Her beautiful, shiny brindle coat make her an unusual and striking companion. Ginger is the perfect house-dog, compact in size, low maintenance coat, impeccably house-trained, never has an accident, knows how to use the dog-door, and non-destructive. She sleeps quietly on her living room chair all night long. She is also leash-trained. Ginger is a very loving, sweet girl. She is totally devoted to her human. Although a little bit shy at first with new people, once she knows you, she greets exuberantly, with a smile, a body wag, and a cheerleader jump with her arms spread wide. She is a good guard dog, barking only when alerting to something out of the ordinary.  She gets along with other non-aggressive dogs in her foster home, and she's even learned not to chase the older cats.  (The young one who taunts her still gets chased occasionally.) She would love to have a home where she could have more one-on-one attention from her folks.   Ginger is located in AR and will be transported to the northeast once adopted.
