About Faith

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

3/13/12 Faith, Hope, and Grace were owned by an elderly lady who had developed dementia and was hospitalized indefinitely. The owner's family turned her 3 dogs over to animal control, and although we know that the owner truly loved her pets, due to her mental state, these girls had been very neglected. Their coats were severely matted - so much so that they had to be completely shaved. These girls are super sweet and loving. They are not completely housetrained - another result of the owners failing mental health. :( I believe with proper training and structure, they will learn to do better with housetraining. These babies like to cuddle. Grace is afraid of being picked up, but does like to sit with her person - she just scared when someone picks her up. Hope and Faith don't mind being picked up at all. All 3 of them were so grateful to get out of the kill shelter that they couldn't stop giving us kisses. :) Despite all they've been through, these girls are friendly and loving, and are eager to get into their new homes. The girls are about 5 years old, and have always been together. While we would love to see them stay together, we know it may not be possible and will consider seperating them for the right homes. Of the 3, Faith and Grace are the most bonded. These lovely ladies are located in Arkansas currently and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
