PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

11/25/11 Oliver was dumped outside of our small town along with his sister.  ACO was called to pick them up and they ended up at our City Animal Shelter.  They were in such horrible condition the ACO contacted me and of course I ran out as fast as I could to pick them up and bring them home.  Oliver was the worst of the two, he had hair missing on his face, body and on his front toes and his coat well I can not say that it was a coat but it was very very thin he must have been in a horrible horrible place.  He has recovered exceptionally well and I know he has gained 10lbs this last week.  You can at least tell in the pictures that he does have the fuzzy face and coat of a schnauzer, which he is still gaining more and more hair everyday.  Oliver is NOT going to be a small dog but then again he may not reach the large 75lb Lab size either but he will be a large dog.  He will resemble a giant schnauzer when full grown.  He has really started playing and making the BooWooing sounds that is well known by schnauzer lovers this past week.  He is infatuated with Cats and he is a blast to watch, he tries so hard to get them to play with him.  I am estimating them at 12 weeks right now, they seem to be going through the teething stage.  They are living on my enclosed patio which has a doggie door in it and I have a medium sized igloo dog house out there for them to hide in stuffed full of blankets with one over the top and hanging down like a flap door along with 2 huge dog beds on the patio also in case the dog house is too hot for them during the day, they both know how to use the doggie door, only took a few minutes for them to learn.  When I get home from work I let them in to visit until bed time.  Neither of them like to potty on their patio they use the door quite well.  Both weigh almost 16lbs and I am feeding them Bil Jac dog food, I figured they were in such poor condition they really needed a high quality dog food and they love it.  I can put down a pan of Nutro or a pan of Blue Dog food and they will wait for me to feed them the Bil Jac.  Both are really sweet and smart babies and they came from what had to be one horrible place and I want them to have the best home possible so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
