PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
This is Brit he and his siblings were turned over to Animal Control to be put down, they were so cute I could not let it happen so I brought them all home. Brit is very affectionate and learns very quickly. When I was taking his pictures I got him to howl with me and since I was laughing at him he kept on doing it, he is a real character. I had a really had time picking which pictures of him to use, I did get a couple of him howling but since there is a limit on pictures I figured the body pictures should be used. He is used to being around cats, he will love the ones that like to love on him and he will bark back at the ones that hiss at him but he does not torment them. His coat is so soft it will not be a long or a medium long coat it will be a short coat but not like a terrier short coat he will have some undercoat which makes it look thicker much like a lab's coat, I just love to hug and squeeze him he is just irresistible and he loves for me to hug and kiss on him also. Brit is a very laid back little guy, very intelligent and will make a wonderful addition to any family - with kids, without kids, and with or without other animals. He has been socialized with cats, goats, horses, chickens, cows and other dogs. I believe he will be in the 50 to 60 pound range when full grown, I am not exactly sure of all his blood lines but he has Mastiff, Shar-pei, and Shepard in him. He loves thick dog beds, rawhide chew chips, and plush toys. The secret to getting pups to sleep all through the night is pulling the food and water 2 hours before bedtime, and be sure to take them out just before going to bed. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
