About Fergal

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

This is Fergal. He is proud but shy at first. He needs a few minutes to judge you. Not your fashion choices or preferred footwear. No, he’s judging whether you’re going to scream at him or hurt him. That’s pretty common in the world of strays and rescued dogs. But once he knows you mean him no harm, he’s a loving boy.

Fergal is about 9-10  months old. We don’t know his breed, but probably very mixed. He weighs about 40 pounds and probably won’t get much bigger.
He is very smart and is eager to learn.

Fergal has graduated from the Arkansas Paws in Prison program! He has learned basic obedience/commands while there and has earned  his Canine Good Citizen Certificate.

Fergal is good with other dogs. He hasn’t been around kids or cats, but given his sweet, friendly nature, we think they would be just fine with kids. He is crate trained.

He is heartworm negative, neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
