PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
1/31/24 Meet Mikey! This boy is a purebred Rottweiler. He is about 5-5.5 months old. Mikey's mom (Ziggy) and dad (Otto) were owned by a man who imported them from Serbia. Due to a job change (please no negative comments), he was not able to keep the Ziggy and Otto and gave them to a friend. Unbeknownst to the friend, when he got them, Ziggy was already pregnant and had puppies soon after. We were contacted to help because the current owner is sadly very ill and needs to find homes for the puppies as well as Ziggy and Otto.
Mikey is sweet, but timid. His owner has done the best he can for them, but Mikey spends most of his time living outside in the fenced yard. He doesn't have much for basic training, is not leash trained. He has not had any exposure to cats, so we would say a cat free home is best. Mikey is good with his mom, dad, and siblings. He has not had a lot of interaction with other dogs except for neighborhood dogs who have come up to the fence. Mikey sniffs them but has not acted aggressively at all. We believe Mikey will be fine in a home with other dogs, with proper introductions of course. Mikey is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Mikey's sisters and his dad are available and will be listed soon. His mom is not quite ready to go yet.
Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.

More about MikeyGood with Dogs, Not Good with Cats Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
