PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Maverick is a very handsome Lab/German Shepherd mix. The owners of his mother intentionally bred her, thinking they would make a quick buck by selling puppies.
 When the last 4 puppies didn't sell quickly enough, they took them to a vet remote common dumping area and dumped them like garbage. Thankfully, a friend of that family found out what they had done and contacted our wonderful volunteer, Terrilynn Slate, who immediately dropped what she was doing and went to the location to find them. It took her 2 days to locate them but she did find them and got them to safety. We are so grateful to Terrilynn and our other volunteers who share our passion and our vision.Maverick is about 3 1/2 - 4 months old. He seems to have more of the Lab genetics, with a more stocky, heavy build. Honestly if we didn't know better we would think he's full Lab. He is much more handsome than his photos, he's just hard to photograph because he's always in motion! These puppies are currently kept in an outdoor for lack of foster space, but they are let out of their pen daily to stretch their legs and play and run. Maverick gets along very well with other dogs of all sizes. He is just a big baby. He is smart and learns new concepts quickly. He will be a fantastic addition to any active family. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and current on heartworm prevention and flea/ tick meds.

More about MaverickGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
