Aliyah is a petite little mixed breed who is looking for a living home. She is an owner surrender, due to no fault of her own. It's a case of mom didn't want a dog, but allowed the kids to get her as a puppy, and now that the new has worn off the kids have lost interest and mom still doesn't want her. Poor girl. No one should have to feel unwanted in their family. Aliyah is a mix but if I had to guess a breed, I would guess Beagle/Jack Russel or Rat Terrier mix. She doesn't have the drive to hunt like a beagle and doesn't have the high energy of a jrt or rat terrier. She is very sweet, medium energy level, just wants to be loved, and when she is happy she smiles which will melt your heart! Aliyah only weighs 29 lbs and is a young adult of about 1.5-2 years old, so she is full grown. She has lived outdoors so I can't say she is totally housetrained, but I'll bet she would learn quickly, especially since she is used to going potty outside. Usually outside dogs are easy to train in that area. She is very receptive to direction and eager to please. We have had her spayed, brought up to date on vaccinations, tested for heartworms (she was neg!!), and started on flea meds and heartworm prevention. Now all she needs is a family to love her!
