We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

Clarence This unusual looking fella wandered up to a home a month ago, wearing a nice harness. But despite all efforts, no owner has ever claimed him and the home owner can't keep him. The home owner has been kind enough to foster him until a forever home can be found for him. Clarence is fantastic with the kids in the family. He is a great car rider and loves going to the ball field to watch them play or practice, and he enjoys the attention he gets while there. The little girl in the family has taught him to jump through her houla hoop! He has also quickly learned the command "sit" and he loves to fetch sticks and balls. He is a great choice for a family! Clarence appears to be about 2 years old and the vet who neutered him guessed that he is an Australian Shepherd mix. We aren't too sure about that, but that's as good a guess as any. He weighs about 40-50 lbs. He is good with other dogs, but is probably a little too curious about cats, and would probably chase them if given the opportunity. He is very receptive to training so if his adopter is willing to put in the effort, he could probably be trained to live peacefully with cats. He is crate trained and walks well on leash. He is utd on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, heartworm neg, and on prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
