We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

11/4/22 Rocky!!! Hes like the cadillac of dogs - think long and low. This incredibly sweet dude came into rescue after the death of his owner left him with no one to care for him. We believe he is a standard Dachshund mix. He weighs about 40 lbs and is about 4 years old. Rocky is very affectionate and sweet spirited. He gets along fantastic with other dogs and is submissive to the other dogs in his foster home. He loves kids! He will play but is not super high energy. He has more of a mellow demeanor. He is house trained and crate trained but prefers not being crated, probably because he was kept crated for excessively long periods before coming into rescue. This little big guy is amazing and will make a wonderful addition to a family.
Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays
Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays
Southington, CT 8am Fridays
East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
