Banjo
Banjo is a special little beagle who we took into rescue a few months back. He was previously a hunting dog and developed an infection around his bones in his back legs and spine. This caused him to be paralyzed for a time. However! After some heavy antibiotics, steroids, water therapy, and lots of TLC, our little Banjo man is doing fantastic! He walks and runs now and is so full of life and love! This dog genuinely loves waking up every day. He does still have kind of a funny gait which he may always have. But he is not at all painful and has been off of all meds for over a month now. He is still improving all the time and may be totally normal one day, but may never catch another bunny. Banjos favorite thing (besides being loved) is going around the house to gather all the toys (or anything he perceives as a toy!) and taking them all to his bed to cuddle with and play with. He is a hoarder of toys. He takes one with him everywhere he goes. It's about the cutest thing ever. Banjo is crazy about people. Even a glance in his general direction is enough to get all the wiggles and tail wags. I've grown very attached to this little pocket beagle and would honestly love to keep him. But sadly I can not, due to my other dogs. Banjo does get along well with other dogs and enjoys the companionship of other dogs. Due to his previous life as a hunter, Banjo probably would not do well with cats, although when he was hospitalized he didn't bother the clinic cats. But he didn't feel well then. Now that he's feeling like a million bucks, I think he would probably chase them. Banjo just turned 1 year old and he weighs 20lbs. He is a healthy weight and shouldn't get any bigger. We are looking for an adopter who will keep us updated on him, just for my own peace of mind because I'm sure gonna miss his little howl and tail wags. He is neutered, utd, heartworm neg and on prevention.

Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays
Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays
