PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

Freckles

About 1 year old, roughly 70 pounds. We believe he is a German Shorthair Pointer mixed. He is a very happy, friendly, goofy dog. Sweet, smart, and wants to please. House trained, crate trained. Does best with calm, submissive dogs. Would do best with a fenced yard but this isn’t a firm requirement depending on the home. Loves kids! 
*Edit to add:He is dog selective. He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, but doesn't do well with dominant dogs. However, he is easily corrected. So he needs to be the only dog or needs an owner who understands dog behaviors and will correct him appropriately when he shows aggression to other dogs. He is not a good candidate for a home with cats. He met a cat briefly and was fine but would probably chase if he had the chance. So either no cats or he would need to be separated from the resident cats when not closely supervised. He loves to play but when it's time to settle down he can be very chill. He loves sprawling out on the sofa and watching TV at night with his foster dad. He is house and crate trained. He has so much love and fun to bring to the right family! Please share, share, share!

Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
