PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. ***This dog is currently located in Arkansas. He/She is listed in all the states we offer transport to or near. Transport is provided by www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com once there is an adopter ready to accept the dog. Meeting the dog prior to adopting is simply not possible, unless you want to come to Arkansas (we would be thrilled to have you, if you want to do some traveling!)Please check the websites referenced to see if one of our transporters offers a stop close to you. We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. Please understand, we are listing our available dogs anywhere we can, to offer them the best chance of finding the right family and having a happy life filled with love.*** 9/19/19 Harley comes into rescue from a kill shelter in southern Arkansas. We believe she is a Min Pin, possibly a mix. She does have the docked tail. She appears to be about 1 1/2 years old. Harley is a sweet little girl, but is nervous natured at first, until she knows she is safe. She needs a family who will be willing to be patient while she learns that she can trust them. She would be best suited to a quiet home and family without young children. She has never shown any aggression towards anyone, but we feel that the noise that comes with a young family may be too much for her and would probably make her nervous. Harley is in a foster home that uses a doggy door, which she does fine with. She may need some training to learn to let her new family know when she needs to go outside. She does still have the occasional accident, but there are many dogs in the foster home and with so many smells and chaos, it's to be expected. She will do better with this once she's in a home of her own. We have had Harley spayed brought up to date on shots. Sadly, she did positive for heartworm and we will have her treated once we have the funds to do so. Harley weighs 12lbs. Harley would love a home where she can have a lap to sit in for most of the day and someone to cuddle with at night. She gets along well with other dogs but is intimidated by large dogs, so would do best in a home with other little ones like her. She has great potential to be a loyal, dedicated companion for her new family.
