PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

Transport is provided by www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com once there is an adopter ready to accept the dog. Meeting the dog prior to adopting is simply not possible, unless you want to come to Arkansas (we would be thrilled to have you, if you want to do some traveling!)Please check the websites referenced to see if one of our transporters offers a stop close to you. We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. These babies were born to a sweet mama who is a chow. Mama (Fancy) was an owned dog but had irresponsible owners who failed to get her spayed and protect her. She has lived strictly outside and when she had puppies she hid them under the porch. The owners called me to help and decided they didn't want to keep mama or any of the puppies. So I crawled under the porch and house to retrieve all 7 babies. When they were rescued, each of the puppies had a condition known as "fly strike" which occurs when flies land on them and lay eggs, causing the hair to fall out in those locations. This has been treated and they are experiencing good hair regrowth in each of the affected areas. This is a testament to the poor conditions they lived in prior to being rescued. The babies were only about a week old when we rescued them and mom. Their date of birth is approximately June 15, 2019. These babies are super sweet and friendly and just have so much love to give their families. They will be great little additions to any family. We believe they are mixed with Lab, but it's hard to know for sure. Mom is a black chow. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
