**PLEASE READ ALL INFO BELOW!** 9/4/17 Chesney was surrendered to the rescue by a breeder who shut down her breeding operation. She had 2 puppies that were not purchased yet when she was ready to close down, and she surrendered both of them to us. Rascal is a Cavalier/Poodle/Bichon Frise (designer breed, aka Cava-Poo-Chon). He is absolutely gorgeous with the curly coat of a poodle. Rascal was born 1/2017 so he is less than a year old. He is very sweet and loving in nature and will make a wonderful addition to any family. He enjoys being held and loved on and is a very affectionate little guy. He is crate trained and has been working on house training. He is doing well with it, but does still have occasional accidents if I'm not paying enough attention. I think in a more structured environment, he would have it mastered in no time. Rascal has been neutered and is up to date on all shots. He weighs about 15lbs now and will probably be about 20lbs as a fully mature adult. Rascal is located in Arkansas and will be transported out of state once adopted. Being a designer breed that is in very high demand, Rascal's adoption fee is more than that of most of our older puppy/adult dogs. His adoption fee will be used to pay for the heartworm treatment for a dog who has been waiting a long time to be treated but because of the expense, we have not been able to provide the treatment. In keeping with the adoption of the breed specific Cavalier, Bichon, and Poodle rescue organizations, the adoption fee for Rascal is $500. This is actually a little less than most charge for a rescue pup of any of these breeds that is less than 12 months old. (Please see http://www.luckystarcavalierrescue.org/info/adoption) And MUCH less than a breeder would charge. Please see https://www.petitjeanpuppies.com/cpc-abby.html. This is not the breeder that Rascal came from (as mentioned, she has gone out of business) but his breeder did charge well over $1000 for her puppies. There is also a transport fee of $140, as he is located in ARkansas but will be transported to the state of his adopter once an adopter is approved and ready for him. For more info and to get an adoption application, please email kelley.aasr@gmail.com More about RascalGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
